Connected During the Covid-19 Pandemic
It appears that parents and kids are checking on their loved ones even more frequently than before the COVID-19 outbreak.
The simple question: ‘How are you?’ now has a new connotation, a renewed meaning. We genuinely want to know how the people in our lives are faring during these unusual times.
My mom, notoriously slow in calling, now video-calls me at different times of the day.
I have to confess that it can be annoying at times to receive calls during my working hours. However, due to the quarantine and the fear in the air, I could not be more grateful for these daily interruptions and still haven’t asked her to be mindful of when to call.
Luckly, there’s just one hour difference between our time zones.
How are you keeping in touch with the important people in your lives?
Hugs, Sandra
