How do your saboteurs (those annoying voices in our head) get in your way?
Here is one of my examples from this morning.
It snowed a lot last night.
So, when I woke up, I knew that by creating a snow-free path to my backyard, I would make my day a little happier and safer as well.
Yet, my victim saboteur was activated. That annoying voice in my head kept telling me that:
‘I am a tropical girl, and I don’t like the cold weather.’
Of course, the more I believed my victim saboteur’s story, the more I felt sorry for myself.
As with all saboteurs (the negative voices in our heads), the moment you became aware of their presence, you can weaken their power.
So, how did I get motivated to go outside? I changed my story!
Instead of a tropical woman feeling sorry for myself, I became the strong homemaker who can take care of her house, and do anything she desires.
Of course, the red winter jacked helped!
How do you change your saboteurs’ stories?
